Jason Lee has been practising in the software testing field for more than 13 years, both on the research and industry fronts.
He started his career as a Software Test Engineer with Motorola Technology and iWOW Pty. Ltd. He then took up a PhD research scholarship to further advance his passion in software testing at The University of Melbourne. His PhD thesis focused on spectral debugging, a white-box testing technique that uses test coverage information to help programmers locate bugs effectively.
He joined Dolby in 2011 and involved in leading QA effort and hands on test automation development. Currently, he serves as Staff Test QA Team Lead for the multiple complex embedded audio projects. This includes, mobile apps, over the top (OTT) projects related to Amazon Fire TV products, which features most recently the upcoming product to be released by Amazon, as well as Dolby Atmos® for Apple iTunes end-to-end ecosystem.
He is actively pursuing research in his free time and contributes to the software engineering research field as program committee and technical reviewers for several international software engineering conferences. He co-authored a software testing book on the Handbook of Software Fault Localization with other testing research communities which is to be published by Wiley in 2019.
